Come Join The Intergroup Dialogue Kick Off

There will be a kick-off event on Tuesday, September 12th at 6pm so that those who are interested in participating can learn what to expect from the program, hear from keynote speaker Taneeza Islam, and register to be in a dialogue group. Amy Nelson, Occupational Therapist and PhD student at the University of South Dakota, is completing a study to examine the efficacy of a 4-week program delivered via telehealth. The program addresses stress management, study habits, time management, procrastination, rest, and sleep in college students.

Students will participate in individual online sessions with an occupational therapist (OT) researcher and weekly sessions with a peer group. Students will participate in activities that are meaningful and complete questionnaires about activities and stress. The program is 4 weeks long. The entire study (including questionnaire completion) is 11 weeks long.

If students complete the study, they will receive a $10 Starbucks gift card which will be entered in a drawing for a $20 Amazon gift card.

The activities will be via Zoom. The OT researcher will work with your schedule to find times that work for you. Participants must be undergraduate students and must be physically located in South Dakota to participate in the program and study.

The program will begin in mid-September 2023. If you are interested in the program/study, please complete the following four questions and the researcher will contact you for more information.
