The unspoken public health crisis

Over the past decade or so, the greater U.S. population has become more familiar with mental health disorders. But one specific type of mental health disorder — postpartum depression — is still relatively unknown to the general public. Wendy Davis, the president and CEO of Postpartum Support International, came to South Dakota State University’s campus for Public Health Day to raise awareness of postpartum depression and offer hope to those who have experienced it.

SDSU research recognized at construction engineering and management conference

Selecting a project delivery method for construction projects is one of the most important decisions made during the planning phase. However, very little research exists on what goes into the decision-making process for selecting a delivery method. In an award-winning paper, SDSU assistant professor Phuong Nguyen's research explains how probability theory can better inform these decisions.
