WARRIOR WELLNESS WEEK
February 14 - February 18
Warrior Wellness Week is a week dedicated to mental health, wellness & self-care. The week will kick off on Monday, February 14th with events being offered both in-person and virtually. A different dimension of wellness will be featured each day during the week with programs designed to empower participants to be proactive in caring for themselves and others.
Need a break from the kids? Want to attend a group fitness class? Today is your lucky day! Starting February 19th, the Miller Wellness Center will be hosting a kid zone for kids between the age of 5 and 13! The kid zone will be available from 8am to 11am and will be supervised by staff so you can enjoy your workout without worrying about the kids. Drop them off and join us for the Weekend Warrior classes of Cardio HIIT at 8am and Zumba® at 10am. The kids won’t even notice you’re gone while they are enjoying the bouncy house, yard games, giant jenga, and many other activities. This is FREE to all members and non-members!
South Dakota Outdoor Recreation Survey
The South Dakota Department of Game, Fish and Parks (SDGFP) and South Dakota State University (SDSU) needs your help in gathering information that continues to assist our state’s outdoor legacy in delivering high quality and accessible outdoor recreation opportunities for everyone. We invite you to share your experiences and perspectives on outdoor recreation through our online survey. Whether you participate in outdoor recreation daily, a couple times a year, or not at all we still encourage you to complete the survey as your voice will play an important role in planning for the future of outdoor recreation in South Dakota.
If you choose to participate in the survey, you will have the chance to be entered into a random drawing for 100, $20 Amazon gift cards upon completion of the survey!
Join the Miller Wellness Center Outdoor Program and SD Game, Fish & Parks for some ice fishing at the Dakota Nature Park! This free event is open to all ages. All equipment generously provided by Game, Fish & Parks. Fishing licenses not required to participate. Preregistration for this event is required.
Any faculty, staff, or community member that has an active membership at the Miller Wellness Center and is 18 or older is eligible to purchase:
All-Access Pass: members purchasing the all-access pass will have the opportunity to play in all leagues and tournaments throughout the semester. $25.00
League Pass: members purchasing the league pass will have the opportunity to play in all league sports throughout the entire semester. $20.00
Tournament Pass: members purchasing the tournament pass will have the opportunity to play in all one-day tournaments throughout the entire semester. $10.00
