Thank you all for attending Kick-Off Day!!

Kick off was a huge success! All registered teams were able to attend kick-off in September. The students were very inquisitive and intrigued in the upcoming events. The Committee is looking forward to working with all participants on the upcoming practice and game day.

Congratulations to Arlington High School for Winning the JacksBEST T-shirt Contest and the $100.00 grand prize.

Looking for Volunteers 

BEST (Boosting Engineering, Science and Technology) offers:

• the EXCITEMENT of a basketball game
• the STRATEGY of a chess match
• the INTELLECTUAL CHALLENGE of a science fair
• the PRESSURE of a competitive sporting event

. . . plus, hundreds of screaming fans, pep bands, cheerleaders, music, dancing and mascots!

Event Dates!!

September 28th: Kick-Off Day
The playing field and game are revealed for the first time. Teams learn the game objectives, receive the kits for their robot, and can attend training sessions.

• sign up for practice times prior to Nov 4th on the BEST site

November 9th: Practice Day

This is an optional opportunity for teams to practice with their robot on the actual competition playing field, scope out the competition, and make robot changes.

• Students must be registered on the BEST site

November 23rd: Game Day!!

Teams are rewarded for their hard work with a funday competing with their robot and are also judged on their Engineering Notebook, Exhibit & Interview, Marketing Presentation, and Spirit & Sportsmanship. Winners advance to regional

competition. 

• Engineering Notebooks must completed and downloaded on the BEST Site by 11/17/2024

• Drivers Schedule must be downloaded by 11/17/2024 on the BEST Site

   

Best will be sending out a Student Survey to Complete. Please complete the survey.

November 17th           Marketing & Exhibit Presentation Time

November 23rd           Game Day

December 14th-15th   Regions in Denver
