Thank you all for attending Kick-Off Day!!

Kick off was a huge success! All registered teams were able to attend kick-off in September. The students were very inquisitive and intrigued in the upcoming events. The Committee is looking forward to working with all participants on the upcoming practice and game day.

    BESTedu has Gone Live!

    Our national organization is working to make our training resources more readily 
    available, and relevant. There are training ‘tracts’ that will take you through certain topic or roles. Training covers everyone – coaches, team members, mentors, etc. Check it out!

    Looking for Volunteers 

    BEST (Boosting Engineering, Science and Technology) offers:

    • the EXCITEMENT of a basketball game
    • the STRATEGY of a chess match
    • the INTELLECTUAL CHALLENGE of a science fair
    • the PRESSURE of a competitive sporting event

    . . . plus, hundreds of screaming fans, pep bands, cheerleaders, music, dancing and mascots!

    If so, then you may be just the right person to Volunteer. You can go out and sign up at Best.inc Volunteer Opportunities. 

    Event Dates!!

     

    September 16th: Kick-Off Day
    The playing field and game are revealed for the first time. Teams learn the game objectives, receive the kits for their robot, and can attend training sessions.

    October 21st: Practice Day

    This is an optional opportunity for teams to practice with their robot on the actual competition playing field, scope out the competition, and make robot changes.

    November 10th: Game Day!!

    Teams are rewarded for their hard work with a funday competing with their robot and are also judged on their Engineering Notebook, Exhibit & Interview, Marketing Presentation, and Spirit & Sportsmanship. Winners advance to regional competition.

    October 6th                T-shirt orders Due

    October 9th               Team participation turned in.

    October 12th              Demographic information Completed.

    October 21st              Students Registered in Best Register

    October 21st              Signed up for Field Practice Time

    October 21st              Practice Day

    November 1st             Driver Schedule Due

    November 6th             Engineering Notebook Turned in.

    November 9th             Marketing & Exhibit Presentation Time

    November 10th           Game Day

    December 16th-17th  Regions in Denver
