Every Friday starting October 4th through May 1st, SDSU welcomes high school students to Jackrabbit Preview day! This day will give you an inside look of college life at State. Explore the academic programs available, learn about student involvement, housing and get a tour of the SDSU campus. This day welcomes families and friends to join you on your exploration to admission at SDSU. So why should you attend a Jackrabbit Preview day?
The college admission process can be tedious but during this session, we will walk through each step of being admitted to State. From grade and class requirements, ACT or SAT scores and transcript submission we’ll make the process easy. You’ll be a step ahead by getting the tips and tricks to becoming a Jackrabbit.
With over 240 student organizations for you to get involved in, there is something for everyone at SDSU. College is the perfect time to take advantage of student involvement by immersing yourself in experiences that will benefit your future. Hear from leaders and members from student organizations and learn what groups you may be interested in joining.
Campus Life and Housing
Are you excited to be immersed in the college experience and have a place to call your own? On Jackrabbit Preview Fridays, you will get to explore what it is like to be a Jackrabbit. See the many amenities available to you such as the wellness center, restaurants, the student union and many other perks only a few steps from your residence hall room. You will also get to preview different residence hall rooms to see what your living space might be like. Get an inside look at which residence hall you’d like to call home.
Costs and Financial Aid
They may not be your favorite topics, but they are one of the most important. During this day we will discuss all the financial requirements so you can begin preparing for what’s to come. Additionally, there will be time to walk you through all financial aid information to make sure you are getting as much monetary assistance to help cover those costs. There is even a family breakout session for your parents to get all their questions answered. No more nagging you because this session will provide information about tuition, financial aid, housing and student services.
Once you’ve gathered all information to college life at SDSU, you will get to explore the campus atmosphere. Admission Ambassadors will take you inside classrooms, residence halls and rooms and show you some of their favorite spots on campus. Get a real view of life at State.
SDSU offers over 200 areas of study so how do you choose the one that’s right for you? To wrap up the day you will have the opportunity to meet with a department representative from your chosen field(s) of study. Here you can get answers to any questions you have about classes, professors or careers in the industry. This will be a helpful tool to help you decide which area of study interests you most.
