Res Hall Gourmet, Ep. 2.5: Energy Bites

Study time calls for some bursts of energy—but instead of reaching for the caffeinated beverages or energy drinks, why not try something a little more nutrient-based? It's another episode of SDSU's Res Hall Gourmet, which is serving up a sweet snack ideal for late-night study sessions. Pick up four simple ingredients, and you'll be basking in the warm glow of natural energy in no time!

Give the video above a play to get started!

Energy Bites

  • Stir 1 3/4 cup quick oats, 3/4 cup all-natural peanut butter, 1/3 cup honey and 1/3 cup semi-sweet dark chocolate chips in a medium bowl
  • Refrigerate as many as two to three hours to thicken
  • Store in airtight container or bag
  • Enjoy for as many as three weeks refrigerated or six months frozen

Pro tip: Speed up the thickening process by throwing the bites in the freezer for 30 minutes.
