South Dakota State University students have the opportunity to attend a major concert on campus next fall. Jacks Bash 2, headlined by Grammy-winning Zac Brown Band, is set for Sept. 8, 2021, at SDSU's Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium. Additional acts include Fall Out Boy and a performance from country star Gabby Barrett.
While tickets are now on sale for current students and the general public, there are 2,000 field-level tickets being held for incoming students (both transfer and first-time freshmen) for Fall 2021. Information for those seats will be sent through campus email closer to the event. Those tickets will cost $25 and each student may purchase up to two.
Student tickets are available with the promo code that has been emailed to them by the University. Students have access to the field level and only students can be down there which is a cool perk. Tickets can be found online. Enter the promo code and make an account to receive them.
Zac Brown Band is a multiplatinum, Grammy Award-winning southern rock group that has produced eight No. 1 singles and 16 top-10 songs on the Billboard charts. Pop-punk/rock band Fall Out Boy has released four No. 1 albums and compiled four Billboard top-10 hits. Gabby Barrett was labeled a "breakout star in the genre" by Forbes and is the newly crowned Academy of Country Music's New Female Artist of the Year.
“We are excited to celebrate five years of success in this incredible stadium,” Justin Sell, SDSU director of athletics, said. “We are primed for an unbelievable year, and to kick it off with this epic event will be special. It’s the perfect opportunity to bring Jackrabbits back this fall and celebrate the bright futures of our university and our athletic program.”
First PREMIER Bank and PREMIER Bankcard are the exclusive sponsors of Jacks Bash 2, labeled as a celebration event for the state of South Dakota.
