This is a FREE 4-day summer camp. Food and lodging provided. Students stay 3 nights on campus in college residence halls (students just must get here around 9am on June 12th - stay in dorms the 12th-14th). This camp is aimed at creating a fun and stimulating experience for current high school students in using computers to analyze data. You will learn some basic statistics and math topics. Have fun visualizing data and developing apps from an SDSU computer lab. Groups of students can pick a topic they find interesting to explore in a project.
Engage in statistics activities such as analyzing the claims of the number of chocolate chips in cookies. Learn how to write computer programs through examples. We will also explore campus, visit the Wellness Center (which has a climbing wall), and other fun activities. Led by SDSU professors and graduate students.
The goal of this program is to build understanding, interest, and enthusiasm for engineering and technology as a career. Activities are arranged to inspire young people to pursue careers that generate greater economic vitality and create a better quality of life.
